Adele will be making her first post-baby appearance at this year’s 70th Annual Golden Globes this weekend.
The British songstress welcomed her first child back in October 2012 with boyfriend, Simon Konecki. The gender and name of the baby have yet to be disclosed by the new parents. Since then, Adele has continued to conquer the musical charts with her track, “Skyfall,” from the latest film in the James Bond franchise.
“Skyfall” has been nominated for both a Golden Globe as well as an Oscar under the Best Original song category. Not only will this be the 24-year-old’s first appearance since October but it will also be her first award show since taking home a handful of awards at last years Grammys.
Adele’s nomination for “Skyfall” is competing against fellow artists such as Jon Bon Jovi’s “Not Running Anymore” featured in the film Stand Up Guys, along with Taylor Swift’s track from the Hunger Games, “Safe & Sound” and Les Miserables’ “Suddenly.”
Though she is facing fierce competition in the Best Original Song category, if the singer takes home an Oscar this year, she will also be making history. The James Bond franchise has yet to win an Oscar since the first film, Dr. No, premiered in 1962.
The 70th Annual Golden Globes, co-hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will be held live from Beverly Hills, Los Angeles this Sunday at 8 p.m. EST.
