Teaser for ’30 Rock’ reunion special finds Fey back in action as Liz Lemon

30 Rock is gearing up to return to the small screen and now, fans of the hit sit-com can sink their teeth into a new teaser trailer for the exciting reunion episode.

In case you missed it, last month we learned that the cast of 30 Rock was gearing up to reunite for a remotely-produced upfront event.

Set to feature returning favorites Liz Lemon (Fey), Jack Donaghy (Baldwin), Tracy Jordan (Morgan), Jenna Maroney (Krakowski), and Kenneth Parcell (McBrayer) reprising their unforgettable roles from the sit-com, the upcoming reunion is part of NBC’s virtual upfront event.

To that extent, the story concocted for the hour-long, commercial free episode, will serve as a way to promote programming for NBCUniversal.

It’s an interesting concept, to say the least, but we’re sure 30 Rock fans will just be excited to get one more tale featuring their favorite characters.

Now, NBC is giving fans a taste of what they can expect from the reunion event before it premieres next week.

The first teaser for the reunion dropped on Friday (July 10) and it features Tina Fey back in action as Liz Lemon— albeit, a Liz Lemon who, like many of us, have to deal with people who aren’t following the rules in the midst of the current coronavirus pandemic.

“No mask, hotshot? You scared of the virus now?” she screams at a passing stranger who, unlike herself, has decided to forgo wearing a mask on the streets of New York City.

The hour-long scripted special is set to air Thursday, July 16 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

Meanwhile, fans itching to start in on a rewatch will be able to do so the following day when all episodes of 30 Rock will be made available on Peacock.
