Music’s biggest night is fast approaching and now we finally know who will be taking the stage to perform at the 61st annual Grammy Awards!
The Grammys took to their official website on Thursday to announce the first group of artists set to take the stage at this year’s award show.
As usual, the list of performers is stacked with Grammy hopefuls and stand-out acts who’ve taken the music world by storm this past year.
Nominated performers at this year’s ceremony include Camilla Cabello (Best Pop Solo, Best Pop Vocal Album), Cardi B (Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Rap Album, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Rap Performance), Dan + Shay (Best Country Duo/Group Performance), Post Malone (Record of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Performance, Album of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance), Shawn Mendes (Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album), Janelle Monae (Album of the Year, Best Music Video), and Kacey Musgraves (Album of the Year, Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Song).
Overall, it seems to be a much more diverse lineup in comparison to last year’s list of performers.
The Grammys found themselves under fire last year when many pointed out the ceremony was sorely lacking in performances from female nominated artists.
In addition to unveiling its first round of performers for the big night, the Grammys also recently announced that they’ve tapped Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys to serve as host on the big night.
The 61st Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS.
