Arrow‘s Roy Harper will be be suiting up when the show returns this fall.
In season 2, Roy started out helping the Arrow. After he survived being injected with Slade’s Mirakuru serum, the Arrow took him under his wing. After learning that the Arrow was Oliver Queen, Roy joined Team Arrow officially.
However, the rage that came with the super strength and healing powers soon became too much and he went on a rampage. Team Arrow eventually stopped him and cured him with an antidote synthesized by S.T.A.R. Labs. Roy donned a mask and joined Team Arrow in the final battle against Slade’s army. However, when the dust settled, he found a note from Thea, telling him that she was leaving.
And now, Entertainment Weekly reveals that Roy will be taking on one of his comic book aliases as a member of Team Arrow: Arsenal. See a first look at his new suit below.
EW reports that the Arsenal suit will make its debut in the season 3 premiere, titled “The Calm.”
The official synopsis for Arrow season 3 reads:
In the aftermath of this victory, Season 3 opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen — not as long as the city needs The Arrow.
Arrow season 3 premieres Wednesday, October 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
