As part of Global Fan Day, a new clip from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire debuted on the film’s official Facebook page Wednesday evening.
In it, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) comes clean to Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) about President Snow’s warning that the love story needs to be believable. In tears, Katniss pleads with Haymitch to help get them through this. Haymitch reminds her that this isn’t a short-term process: “You never get off this train,” he warns. This whole meeting is taking place behind stage in District 11 where a rebellion has broken out. Watch below:
Although Lionsgate is calling this the first clip from the film, last night Liam Hemsworth appeared on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and debuted a scene where Katniss tells Gale that she wants to run away. Like Haymitch in the clip above, Gale reminds Katniss of the hard realities.
Stars Lawrence, Hutcherson, Hemsworth, and director Francis Lawrence today visited the headquarters of major social networks to host online discussions with users. Actress Lawrence debuted a new pixie hair cut during today’s festivities – take a look!
Catching Fire hits theaters November 22. Tickets can be purchased at this link via Fandango. Earlier today we told you that the film is 2 hours, 26 minutes in length (two minutes longer than 2012’s The Hunger Games directed by Gary Ross).
