Advanced copies of The Fiery Heart are under lock and key, but Hypable was lucky enough to score one of the very first copies.
While we have been sworn to secrecy on the exact plot details (and honestly, would you really want us to ruin it for you?), we can give you our first impressions. Our detailed The Fiery Heart review will be published closer to the release on November 19.
Hypable will be behind-the-scenes at The Fiery Heart book trailer shoot next week in Melbourne, Australia. The trailers star Daisy Masterman and Nicholas Wheeler as Sydney Sage and Adrian Ivashkov, two actors who have become fan favourites in these roles.
‘The Fiery Heart’ review:
The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead is the fourth book in the Bloodlines series, and fans can rest assured that they will absolutely adore this book.
This hotly anticipated addition to the Vampire Academy spinoff series is narrated from the perspectives of the two lead characters, Sydney Sage, who narrated the first three books of the Bloodlines series, and Adrian Ivashkov, her love interest.
This means we get Adrian’s thoughts – something that becomes increasingly important as the book progresses.
While some readers were worried that this shift to dual perspectives would change what they loved about the series, we can assure you that it absolutely works. In fact, once you have finished the book you will absolutely understand why Mead needed to go in this direction.
There is no shortage of steamy Sydney/Adrian (#Sydrian) moments in the book, so if romance is your thing, Mead has you covered. And because of the dual perspectives, we get to see the romance from Sydney and Adrian’s perspectives – now isn’t that an enticing thought?
In The Fiery Heart, we also begin to understand more about the different groups Mead has created – and it’s not all good. By developing the history of each faction, and the conflict between them, we gain a much deeper understanding of why characters act the way that they do, while simultaneously learning about the complex world that Mead has constructed.
But it isn’t all solving mysteries and steamy romance – there are plenty of revelations that will have you reeling. Both Sydney and Adrian are dealing with some intense personal issues, and we promise that whatever you are expecting, the closing section of the book will leave you blindsided.
The Fiery Heart manages to be both satisfying and frustrating (in the best possible way), and it elevates the Bloodlines series to a whole new level.
