It’s what fans have been waiting for: The first Divergent trailer has been released and gives us our best look yet at the film!
The Divergent trailer debuted at the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show on Sunday evening. The minute-long preview was introduced by stars Shailene Woodley (who plays Tris), Theo James (Four), and Miles Teller (Peter).
Watch the Divergent trailer:
Scenes within the trailer include Tris during the capture the flag sequences, Four’s fear landscape, a couple glimpses of Jeanine (played by Kate Winslet), and Tris jumping out of the train.
Overall, it was a solid first teaser trailer and has us more excited than ever for its theatrical debut.
Now we turn to you, dear readers: Did the first Divergent trailer live up to expectations? Were there any scenes in particular that stood out to you for better or for worse?
Divergent hits theaters March 21, 2014 and is directed by Neil Burger. Before then, fans have the final book in the trilogy by Veronica Roth titled Allegiant on store shelves October 22.
If that isn’t enough, Roth will publish four short stories about Four over the next several months. The first one titled “The Transfer” will be available in eBook format on September 3. Hypable exclusively revealed the cover earlier this month.
