We’ve seen Iron Man 3 TV spots and trailers, but now Marvel has released the film’s first official clip which features Tony Stark sending The Mandarin a very specific message.
Yesterday we saw Robert Downey Jr. promoting Marvel’s Iron Man 3 in South Korea, where he hilariously performed “Gangnam Style” for a massive audience. The event kicked off what will be an intense world press tour which will include the cast of Iron Man 3 visiting Beijing, Moscow, Munich, Paris, London, Los Angeles, and finally New York. With Robert Downey Jr. along for the ride, hilarity is bound to ensue at the many press conferences and premieres.
Just today Marvel has released the first clip for Iron Man 3 which features Tony Stark addressing the press and telling The Mandarin that he wants him dead, and that he’s not afraid. Check out the first official clip of Iron Man 3 below:
As we see in the clip, Tony is upset about something. This clip appears to occur before his Malibu mansion gets blown up as he also gives The Mandarin the address to his cliff-side home during what feels like a taunt, which from what we’ve seen in the trailers may have been a bad idea.
From the previous trailers we’re thinking this may be after his friend and driver Happy Hogan gets injured or possibly (spoiler) killed, as Tony seems to be outside of a hospital during the clip. We’ll have to wait until the film hits theaters in the U.S. on May 3, which is now less than a month away, or for the international release date, which is April 26.
