Doctor Who returns this Saturday and the BBC has no shortage of clips to get our mouths watering for more. Meet the antagonist of Bells of St. John, get an introduction by Smith & Coleman, and learn a bit more about the 50th Anniversary Special in this clip roundup.
Meet Miss Kizlet
At least Miss Kizlet allows a man to go on holiday before she murders him! This was an interesting first glimpse into Celia Imrie’s character, who seems to be the mastermind behind the wifi monsters; or at least that’s what we think. We’re still not 100% sure what role Miss Kizlet has behind this wifi business, but we’re certain the episode is going to be packed full of awesome as we find out!
Imrie has worked with Jenna-Louise Coleman in the past on the BBC miniseries Titanic, so it’ll be interesting to see how their chemistry plays out on screen once again.
An introduction to Bells of St. John
Meanwhile, the BBC has also released an introduction to the episode by Matt Smith & Jenna-Louise Coleman. There’s nothing new brought to our attention but it’s gotten us even more ramped up for this Saturday!
Cast & crew discuss 50th Anniversary Special
So many clips, so little time! While we’re getting excited for all of the new Doctor Who episodes, we’re particularly stoked about the 50th Anniversary Special. Recently the stars of the epic drama spoke with Digital Spy about the episode after reading the script, and have told us that it’s going to be particularly ‘badass.’
Something particularly interesting is that both Coleman and Moffat talk about the 50th Anniversary Special as not only a homage to the past 50 years of Doctor Who but a look into the future as well. Coleman briefly mentions the epic series 7 finale and how it’ll lead up to the 50th Anniversary special, and Moffat ends the video saying that’s it’s the first chapter of a new start, and we get all sorts of giddy just thinking about it!
We absolutely cannot wait for not only this next season of Doctor Who, but everything else Moffat & crew have up their sleeves for the next one.
