After we reported last week that there was potential for Halle Berry to reprise her role as Storm in X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer has confirmed she will indeed join the cast.
Making the announcement on his Twitter account, Singer pleaded that Berry would help improve the weather in Montreal!
Couldn’t be more excited that #HalleBerry has joined the cast of #XMen #DaysofFuturePast. Hopefully she can improve the weather in Montreal.

Just last week Singer made comments about the potential for Berry to return saying:
“It depends on how it works out. I loved working with Halle, so all I can say is we’ll see what happens.”
Surely, Singer knew Berry was in the works to bring the role back to the big screen.
Fans of the X-Men franchise will be excited for a return of Storm as she was definitely a fan-favorite during the first three X-Men movies. Berry had also gone on record saying that she wasn’t sure if she ever saw herself playing the character again in future sequels of X-Men movies, but it looks like she has had a change of heart. We suspect that working with Bryan Singer again was a draw for her return.
With the Wolverine franchise spinning off and a Magneto one in the works, we have to wonder if Berry is reprising the role for a potential single character spinoff?
