X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer revealed tonight on Twitter that Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage will be joining the film.
Wrote Singer, who’s used his Twitter to reveal castings in recent weeks:
Officially like to welcome #PeterDinklage from #GameOfThrones to #XMEN #DaysofFuturePast Very very excited!
— Bryan Singer (@BryanSinger) February 14, 2013
Dinklage joins an already all-star cast made up of Ellen Page (Shadowcat), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), and Michael Fassbender (Magneto).
If Singer ever stops casting roles and starts shooting, Days of Future Past will open July 18, 2014. As we speculated late last month, it appears as though 20th Century Fox is looking to include as many previous X-Men characters as possible to bring fans back to the franchise.
The film is still a long ways off, but we do have The Wolverine hitting theaters this July. Two great photos of the lead actor/character debuted two weeks ago, but we’re still waiting on a theatrical trailer.

Update: According to Variety, Dinklage will be playing the main antagonist in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
