With the end of the Twilight film saga on the horizon (this November), BloodyDisgusting.com claims they’ve heard that Summit is already internally discussing remaking the franchise.
UPDATE: Summit is now denying this news.
It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise. Studios regularly consider remakes (Spider-Man is the most recent example) as they’re reliable cash cows.
… Lionsgate, who acquired Summit back in January for $412.5 million in cash and stock, will be in serious discussions regarding the future of the Stephenie Meyer vampire/werewolf franchise.

In fact, they’re already discussing it internally. It will happen.
Article Continues BelowTwilight will return. It will never leave. It is eternal.
As for the authenticity of this horror film site? We’ve been well aware of ’em for a while and they aren’t ones to come up with gossip.
What would you think of a Twilight series remake down the road?
In January Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said he wanted more Twilight films. At the time many speculated it would be a sixth film, but that would require more writing from Stephenie Meyer.
