It was an exciting night for Gleeks yesterday as the show returned from a lengthy hiatus. But even guest star Matt Bomer couldn’t pull the viewership out of the trenches, as Glee had its lowest-rated show of the season.
According to EW.com, viewership was down 9% across the board during Glee‘s time slot, so it may not have been as big of a problem as it sounds:
Fox points out that overall TV viewership was down 9 percent in the hour compared to when Glee last aired, before Daylight Savings Time kicked in.
But it still wasn’t good news for the show that has been struggling with explaining falling ratings this season. According to EW.com, last night’s 6.7 million viewers and 2.7 rating with adults 18-49 was a 10% decrease from when the show last aired way back in February.
As the season winds down we expect more and more people to be tuning in. Did you watch Glee‘s big return last night? What were your thoughts on the show?
