Sunday’s midseason finale episode of The Walking Dead brought the Dixon brothers even closer to a reunion. This new Walking Dead sneak peek hints their first meeting might not exactly be loving. Beware of potential spoilers!
We were left in suspense at the end of Sunday’s Walking Dead midseason finale when the Governor placed the blame on Merle for letting Rick’s group into Woodbury. Daryl is now in the Governor’s clutches as well, and he brings the Dixon brothers together in front of a bloodthirsty crowd of Woodbury residents.
The Governor blames Merle for letting the “terrorists” into Woodbury since one of them is his brother, and now the townsfolk have turned on the faithful Merle.
We knew that the reunion between the Dixon brothers was going to be tumultuous, but we didn’t quite expect this.
Take a look at this Walking Dead sneak peek to see the Governor’s ruthless leadership.
Daryl ended up in the Governor’s hands because he stayed behind to cover Rick, Oscar, Glenn, and Maggie as they escaped from Woodbury. We were unsure of his fate until the Governor brought him into a little impromptu town meeting, which the Woodbury leader used to instill fear in his townsfolk.
Now it looks like the brothers are going to have to fight in one of the Governor’s arena battles. We had a feeling this was going to happen.
In this Walking Dead sneak peek, Andrea tries to stop this madness, but she is withheld by one of the Governor’s henchmen. Could she be having a change of heart about her beloved Governor?
We certainly hope so.
The Walking Dead returns February 10 at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
