The Walking Dead season 4 has cast Christian Serratos, an actress best known for her role in The Twilight Saga.
The actress will play Rosita Espinosa, “a beautiful apocalypse survivor who once resorted to prostituting herself for protection,” according to The Wrap.
In the comic series by Robert Kirkman on which the television show is based, “Espinosa travels from Houston towards Washington with her two companions, Eugene Porter and Sgt. Abraham Ford. She begins a romantic relationship with the latter.” Drama that takes place later on puts a fork in the relationship.
Serratos’ role in The Walking Dead is recurring, meaning you can expect to see her in at least a multi-episode arc. Given the show is already well into production, we wouldn’t be surprised if she was promoted to series regular if her role continues into season 5.
The Walking Dead season 4 premieres Sunday, October 13 on AMC. Earlier today the network announced that a spinoff television show is in development and is slated for a 2015 premiere.
Serratos played Bella’s Forks friend Angela in the first four Twilight movies. She also had a role in the American Horror Story pilot. More recently she had a recurring role on The Secret Life of the American Teenager as Raven.
