An interesting story was uncovered by the New York Post this morning: Christopher Abbott, who plays Charlie on HBO’s Girls, has left the show after a disagreement with creator and star Lena Dunham.
This season, Lena Dunham’s Girls took us on an emotional rollercoaster with euphoric (and even drug-induced) highs and snorting-coke-off-of-a-public-toilet-seat lows. While last year’s episodes focused on character development and relationships, season 2 centered around the six main characters’ breakdowns and path to rebuilding.

I wasn’t immune to the Girls virus. Season 1 hit me just as hard as it did scores of other viewers, with witty dialogue, complex plots, and well-crafted characters. But for me, Season 2 hasn’t had the same spark, and the most recent episode, “Video Games,” demonstrated exactly why that is.
