Last week saw us thrown head-first into the world of Angels and Demons with little ceremony, as titular anti-hero John Constantine navigated their dangerous games in order to save the daughter of his good friend — Liv Aberdine.
Constantine checked himself out of the Ravenscar Institute after a warning from the beyond told him that Liv’s life was in peril. Liv, having lived a seemingly ordinary existence up until that point, has inherited her father’s gift. Able to see worlds beyond their own, and scry out concentrated demon activity, Liv is a threat to their very existence.
How does that play out for her? Well, after seeing enough death in a few days to last her a lifetime, Liv hightails it out of there — pretty sensible if you ask us. But not before providing Constantine with the means to keep saving people, a map highlighting demonic events across the United States.
