Thor: The Dark World’s new trailer will be released this Wednesday, and today Marvel has released a new official image of Tom Hiddleston as his beloved character Loki.
Thor: The Dark World’s second trailer will be released this Wednesday, and so the countdown has begun, with new images being released that feature Chris Hemsworth as Thor and now Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Click on the images below to view them in HD:
Marvel also recently released a new poster for the film, which featured the majority of the cast. Thor: The Dark World is looking more and more like it will trump the first film, as the footage we saw at Comic-Con was very promising. We imagine we’ll be seeing some of that Comic-Con footage in the second trailer Wednesday.
We’re seeing a much darker film than before, and while the comedy aspects are still present, we can tell that Game of Thrones’ director Alan Taylor has had a huge impact on the style of the film. We’re curious who will be featured on the final countdown image, possibly Natalie Portman?
Given the presence of the Dark Elves (including Malekith) in the film, it may be safe to say that we’ll be treated to something more cosmic and less Earthly than Thor. We’ll have the next trailer for Thor: The Dark World on August 7, so be sure to check back when it lands online.
This may be Marvel’s transition into Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be a very space-filled film. Thor’s sequel is definitely on our radar and we look forward to its November 8 release date.
