The Walking Dead has released the final three episode synopses ahead of 3×13 “Arrow on the Doorpost.” What’s going to happen in this season’s finale? Potential spoilers included.
The Walking Dead has finally unveiled its final three episode synopses ahead of tonight’s episode, 3×13 “Arrow on the Doorpost.” AMC have provided the notes for 3×14 “Prey,” 3×15 “The Sorrowful Life” and 3×16 “Welcome to the Tombs” according to a report with TVRage.
Next week’s episode, 3×14 “Prey” echoes the words of Laurie Holden, which we reported on March 6, when she said, “The problem is, in deserting The Governor, does chaos ensue?” The episode synopsis for 3×14, “Prey,” is quoted as, “The Governor chases a fleeing dissenter; while the Governor is gone, a traitor tries to sabotage his plans.”
It looks as though The Governor’s fortunes will change as early as next week, after tonight’s showdown talks with Rick. Rick has recently rejuvenated the camp by resupplying them with more guns and ammunition, and the pendulum is slowing beginning to swing in Rick’s favour.
3×15 “The Sorrowful Life” looks set to be a decisive episode with tension building in Rick’s group. The synopsis notes, “Rick and the others learn that if they want a truce with the Governor, they must make a sacrifice.” What sacrifice must be made? Could it be one of the group? Who would The Governor want? Merle or Rick are the most seemingly obvious choices, but maybe it could be Maggie after their altercation earlier in the season?
3×16 “Welcome to the Tombs” is no doubt the season finale that we are all desperate for, and it looks set to be a seriously awesome finale, with the highly anticipated Rick vs. The Governor battle to take shape. The synopsis entails, “Rick and the others consider the defense of the prison as the Governor’s impending attack looms.”
We now know that Rick and The Governor are the only two confirmed characters to make it to the season finale. Norman Reedus has also said that Daryl Dixon will make it, but we’ll have to wait until the finale, just to make sure. We reported Robert Kirkman’s comments earlier this week stating that “there may be a casualty or more” when it comes to The Walking Dead‘s season 3 finale.
It all looks set to be a cracking final few episodes for The Walking Dead‘s third season, and make sure you check out tonight’s episode, “Arrow on the Doorpost” at 9pm ET/PT over on AMC.
