The Voice narrowed down the playing field to six artists on Tuesday’s results show as Cee Lo Green performed with Kermit The Frog and one team got eliminated from the competition.
Team Christina’s Dez Duron and Team Cee Lo’s Cody Belew went home as the NBC singing competition found its Top 6 during a results show that saw Cee Lo and Kermit duet to “Bein’ Green” – a surprising choice since the two collaborated on “All I Need Is Love” off Cee Lo’s new Christmas album. Instead, a snippet of the song aired during a segment in which Cee Lo invited all current and former members of Team Cee Lo to join him and the Muppets on stage at his Las Vegas Christmas show.
Other performances included: Amanda Brown and Trevin Hunte kicking off the night with Lady Gaga’s “Marry The Night,” Cody, Terry, Nicholas and Melanie singing the Plain White T’s’ “Rhythm of Love,” and Cassadee and Dev taking on Rihanna and Ne-yo’s “I Hate That I Love You.”
