Stefan’s in town for a little visit, but that doesn’t stop Aya and Aurora from furthering their plotting. Check out what the manipulative ladies are up to this week on The Originals.
At the end of The Vampire Diaries hour of the two hour TVD/The Originals crossover event, Stefan was rescued by Klaus from Reyna Cruz. In order to free Stefan from his pursuer, Klaus does him a kindness and introduces him to the loyalest witch the Mikaelson siblings ever did see, Freya.
Klaus’ sire line vs. the Strix
Freya isn’t exactly happy to see Stefan Salvatore in the Quarter, what with the prophecy promising that one Mikaelson will fall by friend, and one by foe (that pesky family line taken care of thanks to Rebekah). Stefan could fall under either remaining category at this point, and she doesn’t want any more possible threats around than necessary.
Aya and the Strix lured Klaus and Elijah to find Aurora, then knocked them out and used that pesky old representational magic trick to trap them in another realm in their minds with Aurora and Tristan. While their minds are trapped, their bodies float in the Sisters’ pool as Davina prepares to cast the unlinking spell.
Representational magic rears its ugly head… again
While Klaus and Elijah try to figure out what object in the room represents them, Stefan, Marcel, Lucien, Hayley, and Freya have formed the most unlikely band of rescuers The Originals has ever seen. (Oh yeah, Hayley found Lucien dessicated and stuffed in a closet on an old post office train car, in case you forgot about him.)
Freya uses Lucien’s power to bust open the doors of this representational magic spell, and she’s desperate to figure out what item represents them. Freeing her bros is the only thing that matters at the moment. Her timing sucks, though, ’cause the second she stomps into the room, both Mikaelson brothers’ necks are sliced open courtesy of Davina and her Sisters.
Using Reyna against the Strix
The way this rag tag band of Klaus’ sirelings interacts is enough to make us want Stefan to permanently switch shows. He’s a welcome addition to the group, and his brand of snark fits in well against Marcel and Lucien’s. Stefan has a brilliant plan to get Klaus and Elijah out of Aya’s grip and it requires Marcel to sneak him and Hayley to the Strix doorstep… and for Reyna Cruz to get a big enough kick out of a house full of vampires to put Stefan low on the priority list.
Their plan works. Reyna has a field day with the pack of vampires that try to stop her, as Marcel, Hayley and Freya work to put a stop to this spell before it can get too far. Elijah is the first to wake, and he puts almost all of the Sisters out of commission. All but Davina.
One spell to change EVERYTHING, and one to raise the dead
Davina wields some seriously kickass power and forces Klaus back into the pool even after he’s awakened by Freya. She has clearly had enough of Klaus lording his life over those of her friends. She is successful at delinking Klaus’ sire line, as we watch Stefan, Lucien, and Marcel all feel the effects.
One success would never be enough for Davina. With all the power that Klaus’ blood released into that pool, she knew that this was her chance to bring back her beloved Mikaelson brother. She sneaks a vial of Elijah and Klaus’ mixed blood back to St. Anne’s and in the very same attic that was once her prison, she uses that blood and Kol’s ashes to bring him back. He appears in front of her and Nathaniel Buzolic gives us one of his trademark smirks as he tells Davina that he never doubted her for a second.
One last promise
Klaus and Stefan get the opportunity to have one last chat before Stefan hits the road again. The two remind each other to do right by the ladies in their lives. Stefan swears to Klaus that he will do what is right by Caroline, and reminds Klaus that he should do the same for Hayley. The unsired hybrid risked her life to save Klaus’ and did so for the sake of her daughter. That bond is almost as strong as the Mikaelson family one that has kept Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah linked for centuries.
