Season 1, episode 13 of The Originals aired tonight and boy did we have our jaws to the floor! Check out our recap of the episode.
The Witch is back! No, not that one.
-The episode begins with a shot of a girl in a coffin, who seems to be buried alive.
-The episode then shows the church finally reopening to the public.
-The girl in the coffin gets out just as Celeste starts her tour of the graveyard. It’s Monique Devereux, Sophie’s niece!
-One of Klaus’ vampires calls him up to inform him someone dropped off Papa Tunde’s body at Klaus’s house.
-As Klaus leaves, a woman talks to Kieran and curses him before leaving, telling him to meet his nephew in hell.
-Haley warns the gang that she thinks Celeste is back and she’s the reason that Davina is still dead.
-Elijah wants Rebekah to take Haley to the plantation house because he thinks she isn’t safe. Rebekah wants Haley to decide for herself.
-Rebekah decides to take her as a favor to Elijah, but Marcel tells Rebekah that he thinks a witch, Genevieve, is back. He says that if she really is, then a bunch of secrets they don’t want out will come to light.
-Kieran visits Cami at the bar to tell her he’s been hexed, and Cami wants to find a way to stop it.
-Genevieve then approaches them and says all Cami has to do is stake Klaus in the heart with the bone dagger that was enchanted in the last episode.
Cami picks the winning side.
-Rebekah takes Haley to the plantation, but she wants to invite her family to the plantation since it’s the one night of the month where the backwards-werewolves will be human.
-Elijah approaches Celeste, who he still thinks is Sabine, and she says they’re willing to strike a deal with Elijah, but not if Klaus is in the picture.
-Sophie explains to Monique that her mother sacrificed herself to the cause for the witches.
-Marcel comes by to talk to Monique, and says he wants to bring back the other girls from the harvest.
-Monique is able to tell that Marcel is telling the truth, so they decide to help.
-Cami meets with Klaus in the church, and he says he can see why Cami hates him. Instead of staking him, she gives the blade to Klaus. She rejects the witches’ offer because she’s not like Klaus, and she’s not stupid. If there’s a war, she wants to be on the winning side.
Hot naked werewolf men? Yes, please!
-Klaus tries to revert the hex put on Kieran, but they have to bleed him out of the vervain.
-A bunch of hot naked men and women step out from the wolves and visit the plantation. Who knew all the werewolves were GORGEOUS?! How do they keep their abs?!
-One of them starts flirting with Rebekah, who is clearly taken aback. Down, girl!
-Sophie needs Marcel to bring them money in order to find the other three witches taking the girls’ place. He agrees, as long as they can find them.
-One of the hot backwards-werewolf men, Jackson, approaches Haley. He says their parents knew each other, and that they had their part to play. Haley was supposed to be his wife, since they weren’t from the same bloodline. WHAT.
-Elijah confronts Sabine as he finally admits that he knows she’s Celeste.
-He knows her entire plan, her plan to get the last elder killed so the harvest couldn’t be completed. But he doesn’t know what her endgame is.
-And then they make out.
-She died because of Klaus, and she’s mad with Elijah, so she put an enchantment on him. He falls over can can’t get back up.
We don’t kill kids!
-Klaus attempts to compel the hex out of Kieran, but it doesn’t work, so he goes off to find the witch and kill her.
-Sophie uses a spell to find one of the witches, but Marcel wants to find all three. Klaus shows up and kidnaps Monique to motivate her.
-Celeste tells Elijah she has her hands on everyone, and Rebekah will find herself in trouble so Elijah can try to save her, but then it leaves Haley. And also Klaus. The hex she used weakened his body just enough so he can only choose one person to save.
-Klaus walks down the French quarter, yelling that he will kill Monique if they don’t bring her Bastiana, one of the witches.
-Marcel refuses to let Klaus kill kids, and they get in a fight, but Klaus snaps his neck.
-Sophie then stabs Klaus in the heart with the blade, which then disappears inside of Klaus’ body!
-And then Klaus passes out.
Rebekah: Always fooled by men.
-Jackson explains to Haley that the Crescents aren’t just a normal pack of wolves; their bloodline goes back all the way to the beginning. They’re like royalty.
-He explains that New Orleans used to be their town, and they lost it to the vampires.
-He says that since she’s the last of her bloodline, people will follow her. Her parents and Jackson’s parents wanted to bring the two families back together again.
-He says that Haley’s witch friend was coming tonight to set them free. She’s like…wait what?
-Rebekah makes out with the hot werewolf man in the MIDDLE of the friggin’ woods and he says he’s sorry, and she gets surrounded by werewolves.
-Sabine, Genevieve and Bastiana start doing a hex in the cemetery to trap the werewolves inside the plantation.
-The house catches on fire, but Elijah manages to come in and save her, but Jackson is still in the house. Elijah can’t save everyone, but he manages to go and grab him before the house burns down completely.
-Genevieve shows up to watch Rebekah writhe in pain.
Cliffhanger time!
-Elijah shows up to where Rebekah was, and Celeste shows up. She’s the only person who can break the curse on Haley’s family, and Rebekah is with Genevieve while Klaus is with Bastiana somewhere.
-Jackson leaves before the moon turns him back into a wolf, and Haley promises she will find a way to break the curse.
-Bastiana visits Cami and says she failed to hold up her end of the bargain, and so Kieran will die.
-Elijah visits Marcel and tells him the witches also have Rebekah. Expect every vampire to help find them because he wants to kill all the witches.
-Sophie and Monique are on their way out of town, but Monique doesn’t want to go. They have to, though, since Sophie stabbed an Original now they’re gunna go after her.
-However, Monique thinks that once all four of the girls return, they will rid the city of vampires and kill anyone who doesn’t keep the faith, so she starts giving Sophie some sort of aneurism, and she bleeds from her eyes and nose and bleeds out on the ground.
