Last week’s episode was a real game changer. Now it’s time to see how Ryan moves on after Joe Carroll’s execution on The Following season 3, episode 11, “Demons.”
So, last week was hard on pretty much everyone, as we were forced to say goodbye to one of this series’ most interesting and diabolical characters. There is no doubt that Joe Carroll, the man and convicted serial killer, is dead. There will be no resurrections this time. No secret trap door snuck him out of the burning lighthouse or anything like that.
Now, we wouldn’t be surprised if Mr. James Purefoy still appeared from time to time as a figment of Ryan’s imagination or as a ghost haunting his every move. Ryan and Joe had some pretty twisted history, and the end of last week’s episode proved that Ryan didn’t let it all go when Carroll breathed his final breath.
The real question here is: Will Max and Mike notice anything is amiss with Ryan? It would seem that unless they realize what exactly is wrong with him, he may go without some serious help for awhile. We are pulling for them to figure it out and find a way to help Ryan out of his Carroll-fueled insanity, but only time, and the last few episodes in this season, will tell.
Check out the synopsis and the stills for tonight’s episode, and let us know in the comments if you think Max and Mike will be successful in helping Ryan through this tough time.
Synopsis
