The CW has released two new posters promoting The Flash season 2.
The second season of The Flash is a little over a month away, and promotion is ratcheting up.
The first of the two new posters features a shot of Barry, in his updated costume, running. The tagline reads, “It’s go time.” See the poster below:
According to star Grant Gustin, when The Flash season 2 picks up, “We find Barry dealing with some extra tension. He knows that Eddie was ultimately the hero that stopped Wells in the finale and saved everybody. We find him struggling with his role as a hero. He’s a lone wolf, working alone.”

The second poster features the helmet of Jay Garrick, the first Flash, and a tagline that reads, “Get up to speed.” Check out the poster below:
We first saw the helmet come through a wormhole in The Flash season 1 finale, which prompted Wells/Thawne to prepare to return to his time. Jay Garrick will be played by Teddy Sears in season 2.

The character is being described as “a mysterious figure who arrives in Central City to warn Barry Allen and his team at S.T.A.R. Labs of an impending danger that he alone cannot hope to stop.”
Moreover, according to EP Gabrielle Stanton, Jay Garrick is “going to be Barry’s mentor a little bit and help him really reach his potential” as The Flash.
The Flash season 2 premieres Tuesday, October 6 at 8:00 p.m ET on The CW.
