Last week’s The 100 season 3 premiere concluded with Clarke being dragged away from Niylah’s outpost by an unknown Grounder, but he’s not the only person looking for Wanheda.
One of the most important things we learned in last week’s episode of The 100 is that Clarke is now known to Grounders everywhere as Wanheda, Commander of Death. Her history with death has made her a powerful figure, and that power has her in demand. This week’s episode will have everyone searching for Clarke as her Grounder captor, Roan, takes her to his leader.
In addition to Roan dragging Clarke back to whomever he reports to, we know that Ice Nation is also on the lookout for Wanheda. The queen of Ice Nation wants to claim and kill Clarke, thereby gaining the power she amassed by killing 300 Grounders at the end of season 1, and the entire population of Mount Weather last season. That is a heck of a lot of power, which makes the bounty hanging over Clarke’s head larger than ever before.
Clarke’s defeat and annihilation of the Mountain Men also weakened Lexa. The Mountain Men had been the Grounders’ greatest enemy for a long time, and Lexa made peace with them instead of standing beside Clarke, who put them down once and for all moments later. It isn’t outright stated, but everyone assumes that Lexa is on the hunt for Clarke as well, especially since Indra reaches out to Kane when she gets wind of where Clarke may be.
Lastly, but most certainly never least, the Arkadians are looking for their own. Abby has never stopped worrying about her daughter, which is evident in her lack of ability to sleep and the first question out of her mouth being about Clarke when Raven, Octavia, and Jasper return from their confrontation with Ice Nation. Bellamy and Monty are eager to help find her, as they jump into Rover One with Kane and Indra to check out Sector seven after Indra signaled for a meet up.
We know who was first to find Wanheda, but hopefully before The 100 season 3, episode 2 is done, they won’t be the ones that have her. We are ready to see Clarke back in action, not running for her life at every turn.
Make sure to tune in tomorrow night at 9 p.m. EST for The 100 season 3, episode 2, “Wanheda Part 2.”
