In a new video for Teen Wolf season 3, we get to see how they got the footage of a real wolf for the “This Might Hurt” promo.
Check out the video below:
The video shows Chris Edrington from Paws for Effect bringing Shadow and Frankie to the set of Teen Wolf in order to film shots of a real wolf snarling in the background of where Scott is drowning himself.
Edrington explains that they always bring a “wolf buddy” on set for the wolf that will be doing the filming so he or she doesn’t get lonely. We also get to see behind-the-scenes shots of how exactly they got Shadow to bare his teeth for the promo.
It’s exciting that the Teen Wolf cast and crew get to work with real wolves this season, not only because they’re beautiful animals, but also because it will certainly add another dimension to the story.
We know from season 1 that Laura could turn into an actual wolf, unlike Peter, who had his large and frightening Alpha form, and Scott and Derek, who only see a partial change in appearance when they transform. Why is there a difference from person to person? This season we’re supposed to find out.
The actual purpose of the wolves is yet unknown. Do some or all of the Alpha Pack members turn into wolves? Will Scott be learning how to turn into a wolf? Could the wolves possibly be other werewolves in disguise, or could they simply be real wolves attracted to Beacon Hills due to the number of werewolves that seem to be roaming the forest?
You can check out the promo video below to see what Shadow looks like now that you know how they got those shots.
Teen Wolf returns Monday, June 3 at 10 PM EST on MTV.
