It looks like another DC comic is coming to our television screens! This time with the superhero team known as the Teen Titans.
Reportedly, Warner Bros. TV is working on a live-action version of the DC comic book team the Teen Titans. The project, which is currently being called Titans, is said to be near a pilot order with TNT. It’s just waiting a formal green light from the network.
Titans is written by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes. Goldsman would serve as executive producer with Haimes as the co-executive producer.
The series will focus on the group of young superheroes led by Dick Grayson (also known as Robin). In it he will become Nightwing to lead Starfire, Raven, and other Teen Titans.
An animated version of the Teen Titans, under the same name, aired on Cartoon Network from 2003 to 2006. Teen Titans maintains a loyal fan base which could easily be brought over to watch the live action version.
Although Nightwing is said to be the focus of the series, there are very little details available. The options for actors are endless, but Steven McQueen (known for his role on The Vampire Diaries) has been very vocal about wanting to play Nightwing on Arrow. So it’s plausible he’d aim for the role on Titans.
