Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hits theaters tomorrow, so make sure you’re up to speed with Caesar’s Rise!

The Road actor Kodi Smit-McPhee has signed on to Matt Reeves’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, joining the previously cast Jason Clarke.

20th Century Fox has confirmed that Matt Reeves (Let Me In) will direct Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, replacing Rise of the Planet of the Apes helmer Rupert Wyatt.

Universal Pictures has appointed the writers of Rise of the Planet of the Apes to pen the fourth entry in the dinosaur disaster franchise.

20th Century Fox have officially announced the sequel to last year’s surprise-hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes, complete with release date and equally as long-winded title!

We’re that much closer to a sequel to last year’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes, as Scott Z. Burns (Contagion, The Bourne Ultimatum) has been tapped to pen a sequel.

An exciting pair of people have been joined together – Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt is set to direct the upcoming film Agent 13, in which the Prometheus and Snow White and the Huntsman actress Charlize Theron will star!

The nominations for the 2012 Empire Awards have been released, with Drive, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Rise of the Planet of the Apes all receiving several nods each. The biggest surprise, however, comes in the form of no less than 5 nominations for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

In a move that is set to try to challenge the voters of the academy, 20th Century Fox has began their push for Andy Serkis as Best Actor for his work in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
