It turns out NBC might not have been joking about holding back Community to better promote it. Merely a day after news broke of the show’s sudden hibernation, NBC dispatched new showrunners Moses Port and David Guarascio to several media outlets like the two horseman of the PR crisis aversion apocalypse.

Now that Community has two new producers, David Guarascio and Moses Port, I feel akin to a protective father. I want to like them, but really, I want to know what their intentions are with my baby.

In a Tumblr post reacting to the news that he was ousted as Community showrunner last night, show creator Dan Harmon implies that TVGuide — and by extension, everyone on the internet — knew he was fired before he did.
