A brief update today concerning the Wizarding World of Harry Potter park expansion at Universal Orlando. Sources tell a theme park fansite that construction markers have appeared from the now closed Jaws area (where the expansion is rumored to be built) and continue southward.

What’s in that direction? Wizarding World. And as we know, rumors are calling for a Hogwarts Express to connect the two areas.

Although Universal Orlando has not announced where exactly their Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park will expand into, strong rumors suggest that they’ll be building the new area at Universal Studios and connect the two Potter areas by Hogwarts Express.

Today we’re seeing photos from the now closed Jaws area, which is believed to be where Diagon Alley will be built.

The surprise revelation that another Wizarding World was already in full-swing development swept the fandom by storm just days ago; and whilst we’re all extremely excited by the plans for a second park, there are others (including myself) that are experiencing more than a slight sense of lack-lustre.

So the question that I pose to the readers of Hypable is this: “Was this a genuine move for the fans? Or simply another scheme to treble the bank account of Mr. Universal – as he is fondly referred to by Andrew Sims?”

Since word leaked last week, many have wondered how Universal Hollywood is planning to build The Wizarding World in the park considering how little room appears to be available.

Though they didn’t dive into details during the official announcement, The Washington Post got the scoop.

Upon hearing rumors about the Magical World of Harry Potter amusement park in Orlando Florida, my imagination immediately ran away with me. I envisioned riding on a dragon with a golden Snitch flying around my head and although I admit that it seems a little far-fetched, it was still what I was expecting.

Now, word has gotten out that more Potter theme parks are in the works. Well, this is fantastic because the news has arrived just in time for a Christmas wish list.

Universal just passed along a photo of singer and actress Selena Gomez visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando (without Bieber).
