Doctor Who filming in New York City

After spending much of the previous day shooting in Central Park and then managing to shoot that evening in Times Square with hardly anyone noticing, the cast and crew of Doctor Who moved to the streets of Tudor City right near Grand Central Station for a night shoot.

Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill spent all day yesterday in New York City’s famous Central Park to film what is likely to be Rory and Amy’s final Doctor Who appearance. Filming took place in three key locations: the rocks by the duck pond, the Bow Bridge that spans the lake, and the Bethesda Fountain Plaza and underpass. *SPOILERS*

The Doctor Who main cast and Steven Moffat have all arrived in New York City. Additionally, there is a photo call out for a double for Alex Kingston, so it looks like River Song is back.

Last night in Wales, the temperatures and wind were positively Arctic. You have to feel bad for Karen Gillan, who was obviously dressed in summer apparel: cropped jeans and sneakers with no socks. The cast braved the conditions during the outdoor shoot, and Arthur Darvil even captured a moment to share with fans.
