‘Skyrim’ DLC coming to PS3 in February

Skyrim‘s downloadable content is due to be released for the PlayStation 3 next month, Bethesda has confirmed. The latest piece of DLC, Dragonborn is also due to be released next month on PC.

Earlier this week Bethesda announced that Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim players will be able to download the Dragonborn DLC in early 2013, following its launch on Xbox 360 on Tuesday. PlayStation 3 owners should also anticipate the eventual release of the other Skyrim DLC, Hearthfire and Dawnguard, in the future, Bethesda says.

We’ve all been wondering whether The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim‘s downloadable content will ever make it to Sony’s console, given the technical difficulties Bethesda has suffered whilst grappling with it. A tweet from Bethesda, however, tells us that PlayStation 3 owners might not have long to wait to get their hands on some Skyrim DLC.

Bethesda unsure of ‘Skyrim’ DLC’s Playstation 3 fate

Skyrim downloadable content started being added to the Xbox 360 version of the game back in June, but there’s still no date for Dawnguard‘s release on Sony’s PlayStation 3. A post by Bethesda’s community manager on the official forums did little to reassure Skyrim fans that the DLC is headed to PS3 anytime soon.

At last, Bethesda has announced the first downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, entitled Dawnguard. Also, today Xbox 360 players will be able to download the Kinect update, which features hundreds of voice commands.
