Lionsgate has set Charlie Kaufman to pen the adaptation for The Knife of Never Letting Go, the first book in the Chaos Walking series.  The young adult novels have received critical acclaim and have a similar vibe to a certain blockbuster recently released by Lionsgate.

Charlie Kaufman is one of the most talented screenwriters working today, it will therefore come as little shock that is upcoming directorial effort Frank or Francis is near the top of our most-anticipated list. Now the film, which is about the war between an acclaimed actor (Steve Carrell) and an internet film writer (Jack Black), has climbed a little higher on that list as Oscar-winner Kate Winslet and Oscar-nominee Catherine Keener have joined the cast.
