On November 1, Team StarKid released Apocalyptour: Live in Los Angeles, a live DVD showcasing one of the three LA dates on the troupe’s national concert tour which took place in May and June of this year.

Team StarKid have posted an announcement video regarding the release of an album and DVD of the group’s 2012 live tour, Apocalyptour. The video also reveals that StarKid also plan to release digital downloads of all their original content. We’ve got the specifics below.

Fans of Team StarKid know Corey Lubowich as the backbone of the company – in every aspect, from producing t-shirts to designing sets to managing a tour bus, Corey’s there, keeping the wild ride that is StarKid Productions firmly on the tracks. After appearing as Team StarKid’s Apocalyptour opening act on Wednesday night, Darren Criss rejoined his theater company last night as a participating cast member at the final of the group’s three-night stint at the Los Angeles House of Blues. Check out some pics and videos below!

We recently reported on co-founder Darren Criss rejoining Team StarKid on their current Apocalyptour, and last night was his first performance with the group at the Los Angeles House of Blues. Darren will join StarKid onstage again tonight at their final L.A. show, participating in the main event, but last night he simply warmed up the crowd with a stripped-down solo set of his original songs before watching the performance that his friends have been taking on the road.

Shocking absolutely no one, Team StarKid have announced that co-founder Darren Criss will be joining them at another concert tour date besides the two at which he was already slated to appear.

The Team StarKid Apocalyptour has finally hit California, marking the first West Coast performances for the troupe since their first-ever informal appearance at the Azkatraz convention in 2009, and to mark their arrival StarKid have announced that acclaimed poet and rapper George Watsky will be opening the show in his hometown of San Francisco.

Team StarKid are now a week into their national Apocalyptour and we thought it was time we rounded up a selection of videos to share with all you StarKid fans who aren’t able to make it to the tour.
