This past Saturday at the LeakyCon conference in Chicago, Team StarKid performed ‘A Very Potter 3D: A Very Potter Senior Year’ for the first and probably the last time – and we were there! Some of our predictions came true, and we’re going to give you every possible detail that we can without outright spoiling you.
In the lead-up to the staged reading presentation of A Very Potter Senior Year at LeakyCon this August, Team StarKid have announced a competition for fans to participate in contributing creative aspects to the final Very Potter show. The group released an adorable collaborative video announcement featuring many of the attending StarKid cast, both old and new.
So there we have it. Team StarKid’s finally doing the ‘Threequel’ – A Very Potter Senior Year – next month at LeakyCon. Well, sort of. The group is unfortunately unable to commit this project to a full live production, but to celebrate the fandom and say goodbye to their Harry Potter work, Team Starkid are putting on a one-off staged reading of the finished script.
We recently reported on co-founder Darren Criss rejoining Team StarKid on their current Apocalyptour, and last night was his first performance with the group at the Los Angeles House of Blues. Darren will join StarKid onstage again tonight at their final L.A. show, participating in the main event, but last night he simply warmed up the crowd with a stripped-down solo set of his original songs before watching the performance that his friends have been taking on the road.
