In honor of Mark Sheppard being promoted to series regular for Supernatural season 10, we look at our top 10 Crowley lines.
Since his debut in season 5, Crowley has become a fan favorite character. He was first introduced as a crossroads demon who had obtained the Colt. Surprisingly, he turned into a tentative ally for the Winchesters in the fight against Lucifer and has had an on-again-off-again adversarial relationship with the brothers since. After recurring for five seasons, he’ll play a major role in Supernatural season 10 as a series regular.
Celebrate the King of Hell with our top ten favorite Crowley witticisms, listed chronologically.
‘They burnt my house down. They ate my tailor!’

It became clear from Crowley’s introduction that he is a demon into the finer things in life. And he had to give them up to aid the Winchesters in their fight against Lucifer, as he became demonic enemy number one after giving the Colt to the Winchesters to use on Satan. The Winchesters, of course, didn’t have much sympathy for the salesdemon’s plight.
‘In fact I’ll do the shorthand for you: ‘I want my soul back, idjit.’ ‘Fraid not.’ ‘But I’m surly and I got a beard. Gimme!’

When Bobby summoned Crowley to get his soul back, we got this hilarious exchange with Crowley imitating him. Crowley’s dynamic with our heroes never gets old, as he’s always poking at their quirks with what we might call fond familiarity. There aren’t many who could get away with pushing Team Free Will’s buttons the way Crowley does — and frankly, we wouldn’t want it any other way.
‘Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a little hell to raise.’

Crowley is always one for a witty retort, but the King of Hell is particularly fond of hellish puns. He’s a hell of a guy, after all. And we love him for it.
‘Is that Bobby Singer? Give him a kiss for me.’

Crowley’s always one for a good innuendo — or overt sexual joke, as the case may be. He’s not one to discriminate on orientation either. He particularly had a field day during season 7 with the many Dick Roman jokes.
‘What, like Lucifer didn’t worry? Or Michael? Or Lilith? Or Alistair or Azazel didn’t worry?’

Crowley is currently the longest-living Supernatural villain, and the main reason he’s survived where so many have fallen before him is that he doesn’t underestimate the Winchesters. He’s watched one titan fall after another and does not make the same mistakes as his predecessors.
