Supergirl season 1, episode 5, “Livewire,” airs tonight, as an ex-employee targets Cat Grant.
Note: Tonight’s episode, “Livewire,” was originally meant to air on November 23. However, after the terrorist attacks in Paris, CBS removed Supergirl season 1, episode 4, “How Does She Do It?,” from the schedule due to content related to terrorism. There’s currently no word on when “How Does She Do It?” will air.
Previously
Superman’s enemy Reactron came to National City to target Supergirl after it was revealed that she is Superman’s cousin. During one fight with Reactron, Kara was nearly killed and Superman came to her rescue. It turns out that James called him for help, out of fear of losing Kara, but Kara felt hurt by his lack of confidence in her.
Recognizing that he used Superman as a safety net whenever things got hard, James didn’t call in the Man of Steel when Reacton crashed a CatCo party. Instead, he played distraction until Kara could arrive to save the day.
At the end of the episode, James’ ex-girlfriend, Lucy Lane — sister of Lois Lane — arrived in town in the hope of rekindling her and James’ romance.
