Two days ago we shared a tweet from a reliable entertainment reporter. He revealed that Twilight author Stephenie Meyer was “deeply annoyed” by Lionsgate’s public comments about wanting more books/films in the Saga.

But last night Meyer updated her site to clear the air a bit.

She wrote:

Hey all,

Just wanted to clear up a little rumor making the rounds. I have absolutely no issues with anyone at Lionsgate. Far from being a negative thing, it’s actually a very nice feeling to know that both Lionsgate and Summit would like to make another Twilight movie if I were ever to write another Twilight book. So, thanks for the support, Lionsgate and Summit. I look forward to working for the first time with new friends at Lionsgate and working again with my old friends at Summit!

Steph

Though she doesn’t explicitly deny the initial story, after this statement we’re confident Meyer is still happy with Summit and Lionsgate. Their book/film franchise has been quite successful for all parties and we’ve never been aware of any issues!
