CBS has released a first look at the television adaptation of Under the Dome written by Stephen King.
The preview features a lot of great on-screen and behind-the-scenes footage where the cast and crew discuss what’s to be expected in this apocalyptic world. It’s our first detailed look at the making of this highly-anticipated show on CBS. Watch below:
Actress Britt Robertson, who plays Angie McAlister, offered an extremely basic summary: “2000 people secluded. It gets pretty scary very quickly,” she said.
“We’re so used to all these things working – all that’s stripped away, and now people’s true selves are going to come out,” added Mike Vogel (who plays Dale “Barbie” Barbara).
King was also interviewed. He tells viewers that residents are simply “trapped in a dome. Nobody can get out, nobody can get in.”
“He’s got a tremendous visual sense,” said King while speaking about the series’ showrunner. “People’s eyes are gonna bug out of their heads when they see it. Under the Dome is going to be an innovative, exciting 13-week event. It’s going to be riveting TV.”
Breaking Bad viewers will be pleased to hear that Dean Norris (who plays Hank on the AMC drama) plays a character in this show. Twilight fans will welcome the presence of Rachel Lefevre who played Victoria in the first movie.
