The first trailer for the first Star Wars spinoff, Rogue One, has arrived. And hot damn, the lead character strongly reminds me of Katniss.

I’m not saying it’s a problem! Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rogue One was inspired a bit by the success of The Hunger Games series and its lead star played by Jennifer Lawrence. She showed that moviegoers would turn out to see an empowering female lead. Now that her story is over, it’s time for someone new to step in, and that person appears to be Jyn (played by Felicity Jones).

Here are a few similarities I couldn’t help but notice

Both movies are about rebellions:

Both movies include a teal-ish hood for hiding in plain sight, until you need to whip it off and get the job done:

Remember, I’m not throwing any shade here! I just couldn’t help but notice the similarities between Katniss and Jyn as soon as I watched the trailer.
