According to reputable sources close to the Spice Girls, “there is an ongoing discussion” about the Spice Girls reuniting once again this year! And apparently they are taking a serious stance against bullying if they do so.
We’ve heard it here and there since in the months and years leading up to the 2012 London Olympics, but it seems that a Spice Girls reunion is more seriously in talks now that the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics are on the horizon.
According to E! Online, a source close to the deals had this to say:
“They’re all talking. There is an ongoing discussion among the girls.”
According to this same source there are 2 driving forces behind the get together. The first being that there is a sense of “unfinished business” with the group as they had to cut their 2008 reunion tour short due to family and personal commitments.
The second, and most interesting, being that the girls want to have a serious social conscience in this return, particularly in a fight against bullying. The source says:
“The whole idea of girl power and using that to fight against bullying and teen suicide is something that is being discussed.”

The source says there is no time frame in order yet.
Melanie B recently tweeted that she is going to be back in the U.K. to see her Spice Girls, but interestingly enough didn’t seem to mention why.
With Mel B signing on with Australia’s version of Dancing With The Stars, we find it hard to believe that this is an ongoing discussion. Melanie B will be committed to that show and press for at least the next 9 months. Maybe it can fit in to her schedule?
Are you excited about the prospects of the Spice Girls returning yet again!?
