Kate McKinnon is at it again! This week Octavia Spencer hosted SNL along with musical guest Father John Misty. Check out some of the highlights from the hilarious episode!
Cold Open with Jeff Sessions
Kate McKinnon has really broken into another level as a cast member on SNL this season, portraying many controversial political figures, most notably Hillary Clinton. This week, amid the controversy surrounding Attorney General Jeff Sessions, McKinnon portrayed Sessions as Forrest Gump. Check out the hilarious moment below.
Opening Monologue with Octavia Spencer
In Octavia Spencer’s opening monologue she talked about her career and how she produced a new movie called “Hidden Fence Light,” which is obviously not a real movie. Check out the opening monologue below.
Wine Bar
In one sketch, Octavia Spencer played a character named Jode who seemed to be Cecily Strong’s character’s only black friend. Things get really awkward in this sketch but then turn out for the better.
Sticky Bun Training
Octavia Spencer also joined a few cast members who struggle to learn how to communicate with customers at a place called Sticky Bun. Things are so awkward (again) but yet so fun in this sketch.
Father John Misty Performs
This week musical guest Father John Misty also performed. Check out his performances of “Pure Comedy” and “Total Entertainment Forever” below.
Coming up on ‘SNL’
