Ships this week are lead by Olicity, Merder, SwanQueen and more. Every week, ships, A.K.A. relationships, are highlighted on our favorite TV shows. Which were your favorite partners and pairings this week?
Did your favorite ship sail this week, did a new one launch, or did yours sadly sink? If you love shipping, you know the drama that shipping wars bring. Your ships don’t have to be canon for you to love them, and that’s half the fun.
Remember, if we didn’t include your favorite, give a suggestion to the writer who usually covers your fandom in the recap discussion or in the comments below.
‘Outlander’ – All Aboard Ian and Jenny
Passengers: Ian Murray and Jenny Murray
Sunset Cruise: These two have been committed to each other through good times and bad. Jenny married Ian, not caring if he lost his leg in the wars in France. Ian has stuck by Jenny in caring for her ancestral estate Lallybroch.
Ship Status: This one chugs around the harbor taking aim at other vessels. It’s a good thing one of the captains is a little more stable.
‘Once Upon a Time’ – All Aboard SwanQueen
Passengers: Regina and Emma
Sunset Cruise: Even when the key to her happy ending is at stake, Regina has her eyes out for her partner in crime, Miss Emma Swan, and vice versa. Regina takes Emma’s safety into her own hands by pulling out all stops, including controlling Belle’s heart, to ensure Emma remains safe from his plan. Emma does something similar, providing Regina with a gun to take down Zelena.
Ship Status: This may be a fantasy cruise, but who cares. We are sailing on the vessel unintended subtext.
‘Game of Thrones’ – All Aboard Sansa and Littlefinger
Passengers: Sansa Stark and Petyr Baelish
Sunset Cruise: It’s pretty obvious that Petyr is enamoured with the beautiful and growing less naive Sansa. Is Sansa reciprocating those feelings, or is it her attempt to play the Game of Thrones?
Ship Status: Can we all say ewwwww! We are on the vessel squick. In fact the entire boat is trembling due to the horrifying wake our shuddering is kicking up. Please let this one sink before we are sailing on a new cruise called “Agh! My Eyes.”
