So much of the storyline in Revenge is based off of people’s past actions, and in “Lineage” we’re going back to 2006 when Emily made her official reappearance in the Hamptons.
ABC also released the official synopsis for “Lineage,” which won’t air until after Thanksgiving on November 25. Creator Mike Kelley had hinted previously that this episode would be a flashback, and Wetpaint helped us to find the official synopsis:
“Hindsight’s 20/20 when a flashback to 2006 has Victoria getting a surprise visit from her estranged mother, triggering memories of her tumultuous upbringing. Emily embarks on her first mission under Takeda’s training, where she meets Aiden and learns of his revenge path. 2006 is also the year NolCorp goes public, and Carl Porter gets into hot water when he crosses the wrong people on the docks.”
So we’re going to see quite a few different people’s pasts in this episode, including a young Victoria. We’ve never seen her younger than her David Clarke days, so we’re intrigued to see her background.
Another person whose past we’ll be seeing is Ashley’s, as shown from these new Revenge photos from TVLine. We’re guessing that this is going to be the first meeting between Emily and Ashley, and possibly Ashley’s introduction to the Grayson family.

In one of these Revenge photos, Ashley appears to be involved in some kind of nightclub competition, since she is lined up with a few other girls. It looks like she might be the lucky winner, too, with her hand held by a mystery man.
We see Emily meeting Aiden for the first time in the same place where Ashley appears. The description also says that this is Emily’s first mission under Takeda, so he has to be setting the two up in some way. Aiden hinted in the last episode that maybe Ashley isn’t as innocent as she appears to be. Maybe he’s right.
One other photo shows Emily holding a gun while everyone stares at her, and she appears to be in the same nightclub, but she’s wearing a different outfit. Is this just a different day? Or could this be the present day?
