The Red Hot Chili Peppers have debuted “In Love Dying” – a song that didn’t make it into their 2011 album, I’m With You – and it’s a long one.
“In Love Dying” is the 11th of 18 songs from the Chili Peppers’ I’m With You Sessions. It debuted on the band’s website Monday.
Available as digital download and 7-inch vinyl, the eight-minute song will have to be split for the vinyl version, as it’s too long to fit on one side.
“We’re going to have to do that old trick where it fades out and fades back in on the B-side,” guitarist Josh Klinghoffer said.

The band’s 10th studio album, I’m With You, was nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Rock Album in 2012 but lost to the Foo Fighters. It spent 27 weeks on Billboard’s Rock Albums chart, peaking at No. 1.
The Chili Peppers will headline both weekends at Coachella in April, following a busy year that included Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits music festivals, as well as their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The new single is available now on iTunes and the RHCP’s shop. What do you think of “In Love Dying”?
