Comedian and actress Rebel Wilson has revealed that she took a meeting for a role in either Catching Fire or Mockingjay.

Speaking with Buzzfeed, the interviewer unintentionally uncovered the nugget when the discussion turned to The Hunger Games star and recent Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence:

Ah, so you’re a J.Law fan?

RW: Yeah, yeah, and I’ve met her. I met her at a party and she was super-duper nice. She’s really quite tall. Which I found — I don’t know if you get that impression when you see her in movies, but she’s quite tall. Yeah, and she’s just really nice and I love The Hunger Games and I can’t wait for the new one to come out.

Ooh, would we ever see you in a role in The Hunger Games?

RW: Um, seriously, I have had a meeting about being in The Hunger Games. Yes.

Oh! In what district?

RW: It was one of the people in the capitol. That’s all I’ll say.

That would be good. That’s a good choice.

RW: Yeah, because there aren’t a lot of roles open, because they’ve all already been cast, but that would be awesome. I’d love to be in The Hunger Games.

Wilson was speaking in the present tense about the role, which may imply the part is in Mockingjay Part 1 or Mockingjay Part 2.

One of the roles we could imagine being available in the Capitol would be Tigris. As outlined in the Mockingjay section of our The Hunger Games Hub, she’s a former stylist who now owns a shop in the Capitol. “She clearly harbors ill feelings toward the Capitol because they replaced her. She has such extreme body modifications that she looks like a human tiger with stripes on her face and whiskers.”

The sheer popularity of The Hunger Games means lots of actors and actresses are likely applying for roles, so at this point there’s a small shot she’ll get the part.
