On tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, Cyrus helps the girls get one step closer to “A.”
Tonight’s episode of Pretty Little Liars opened up to Aria, Emily and Spencer going to see Alison in prison. The girls aren’t exactly ready to be best friends with Ali again, but they do owe it to her to help get her out of prison. Ali tells Aria that she will have to tell her lawyers about Mike because it may be her only way out of jail, but Aria begs her to give her more time.
At The Brew, Emily runs into the participant coordinator of the pageant, who hands her the full schedule of all of the events. It turns out that the pageant is going to take up way more time than Emily initially thought and she is going to have to take off some work. She goes to talk to Talia about switching shifts when she finds out that Talia has actually put in her notice to quit.
Spencer returns home to hear her mom talking to her father about her visit to prison. Veronica is not pleased but brushes it off because she just bought Spencer a ticket to go to London for an interview with a professor at Oxford. While packing, Hanna and Aria stop by to see Spencer, and while in the kitchen Aria asks Veronica for some legal advice about Mike. Aria manages to give Veronica as many details as possible without revealing the crime. Veronica tells her that Mike will face serious jail time for being involved in the case and not telling the police about it.
In the prison, Ali is doing the laundry, and since she’s bored, she writes “Mona” in the dust on the table. She is summoned by one of the guards and taken to a visitors room where she finds Veronica Hastings. She came to see Ali in order to find out why her daughter was there. Ali goes to tell her that she is innocent and asks her to be her lawyer. We don’t find out Veronica’s answer, but when Ali returns to the laundry room, she sees that the words “told everything” have been drawn into the table under where she wrote “Mona.”
Aria comes home to find Andrew waiting for her since they were supposed to have a study session. She apologies for flaking on him and Andrew takes this opportunity to ask her out to a movie the next night. Aria says yes, but that they can only go as friends since she’s still “sort of” seeing Ezra.
All the way in London, Spencer is able to make it to her interview with Wren’s connection at Oxford University. At her meeting, she immediately hits it off with the professor and it isn’t long before they are exchanging terribly nerdy jokes. At the end of her interview, however, a glass vial of blood smashes in her purse and begins to ooze all over the couch. Not sure what to do, Spencer runs out of the interview and has a minor panic attack.
Back in America, Emily finds Talia leaving The Brew to pick up her final check and she can see that Talia’s car is full of clothes. Talia tells her that she and Eric are getting separated and she is trying to find a hotel to stay in. Emily feels terrible and offers her house up to Talia for the next few days since her mother is out of town.
Back in prison Ali is in her cell when she gets a message from “A.” It’s a tiny plastic doll and a note that says, “You’re already over a barrel, wanna be in one too?”
Hanna and Aria go to the hospital to see Cyrus, who they believe had a few broken bones. They end up in the burn unit and find that Cyrus was severely burned in a car accident. When they see him, he tells them that it was no accident and he writes down “Varjack” on a piece of gauze. After the girls leave, a person dressed completely in gauze gets up from one of the beds and stands over Cyrus.
Hanna returns home to find Ashley arranging flowers with a huge smile on her face. Ted called her and the two went on a walk and finally reunited. The wedding is officially on!
Aria comes home and begins snooping through Mike’s room so she can find his schedule. She goes to stand on Mike’s workout bench, but it collapses beneath her. Andrew shows up just in time and tells Aria that the bench clearly wasn’t put together correctly. If Mike had been using it, he would have been crushed to death. Andrew then continues to be a complete gentleman and wraps up Aria’s ankle. And when he sees her crying, he offers her his shirt as a handkerchief. She politely declines the shirt but doesn’t decline the kiss that he plants right on her lips.
Back at the Hastings’ house, Veronica decides to go through Alison’s case file. She finds something interesting and calls Spencer. When Spencer doesn’t pick up, Veronica leaves a message telling her daughter to cancel her flight home.
Hanna finally goes to see Ali in prison again after their last terrible visit. Ali breaks down and apologizes to Hanna about all the torment she put her through. The agree that maybe they can try to start over and then Hanna asks the question she came to ask: Who is Varjak?
In the last scene of the episode, we can see “A” putting $20 in all of the bibles of the women’s prison. They bookmark a page that says, “Vengeance is mine.”
