Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling said this morning that she wrote a Patronus test for Pottermore which appears to be coming to the site soon.
The “news” came thanks to a fan who reached out to the author on Twitter:
.@SlythSnitch I've written one and it won't be too long until you can take it. We're working on it!

While some people in the Harry Potter community acted like this was a big revelation, the fact of the matter is that Rowling told us Pottermore was working on a Patronus test back in September.
For whatever reason, this test is taking a really long time to see the light of day.
Rowling continues to be very active on Twitter, frequently replying to fans who ask all sorts of questions. For example, she tried to offer life advice this week:
.@itssaaaav Ideally, something that makes you happy and doesn't involve serial killing. Can't be more specific without further information.

And voiced her sadness over Jon Stewart leaving The Daily Show:
Jon Stewart is leaving @theDailyShow, one of my favourite TV programmes ever. That's major news to get over your morning tea. #BritishGrief

She recently responded to a question about writer’s block:
.@jilyinthetardis I haven't had it since 1998. I wrote through it. That showed it who was boss.

And answered a question about the unauthorized J.K. Rowling biography Magic Beyond Words starring Poppy Montgomery:
.@kk6991 I've never seen it, so I can't tell you how accurate it is. The thought of watching it makes me curl up like a pretzel.

Finally, Rowling says that she’s seen The Casual Vacancy television series which airs this month in the U.K. and in April in the U.S.:
To all asking whether I've seen the @BBC adaptation of #TheCasualVacancy, the answer is yes and I'm thrilled with it!
