Hate having your Pokémon GO app open all the time to catch ’em all? Nintendo is making your journey easier with Pokémon GO Plus.
The device can be clipped onto your person or put on your wrist like a watch, and it interacts with your app via Bluetooth. Pokémon GO Plus will alert you when there’s a Pokestop or Pokémon nearby — you can even catch it (or try to!) without opening your app.
GO Plus will surely make it easier to be play GO around the clock. It’ll also make playing the game a little safer since you won’t have to stare at your phone as often.
The device was supposed to debut in July, but for unspecified reasons (One of which may be higher-than-expected demand thanks to the app’s insane popularity), Nintendo has announced that the band will be released in September:
The #PokemonGO Plus accessory will now be released Sept 2016 instead of the originally expected end of July launch. https://t.co/QgjZf1aAV6
