The latest entries in the Pokemon series, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, have been setting records after its recent debut in Japan, with over 1.6m copies sold after two weeks of release – making them the third fastest selling DS game in Japan to date.
After such success, Nintendo has officially announced the international release date for both titles.
In North America, both games will be released on Sunday, October 7. Europeans will be able to ‘catch’ these titles a few days later, on Friday, October 12.
The downloadable title, Pokemon Dream Radar, for 3DS will be uploaded to the eShop on the corresponding dates of release for the actual titles. Dream Radar, similar to Face Raiders, will allow players to capture rarer Pokemon in their environment and then transfer them onto either Black 2 or White 2. These particular Pokemon will still be available in-game, but ones caught with the Dream Radar will have unique moves and/or abilities.
It should also be noted that Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 are both DS games, and possibly the last games of the DS era. Naturally, they can still be played on the 3DS consoles.
